Vanessa Hudgens was born in Salinas, California. Her family moved to San Diego whilst she was still a toddler. Vanessa was interested in acting and singing at a young age, inspired by her grandparents who were musicians. She began auditioning and was successfully cast in a TV commercial. This prompted her family to move to Los Angeles.
Born on December 14, 1988, Vanessa Hudgens garnered worldwide fame as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical film franchise. Though she didn't land her breakthrough role until 2006, Hudgens has been around in the entrainment scene as early as age 8.

In latest buzz, "Grease: Live!" star Vanessa Hudgens and model/actor boyfriend Austin Butler are in a bit of hot water after a romantic Valentine's Day weekend in Sedona, Arizona.
Hudgens, who came to fame starring in Disney's 2006 hit, "High School Musical," posted an Instagram picture of the love birds' names carved into the rock surrounded by a heart. (The post has since been removed). Read more at CNN.
