What is Vole? & What is a Vox?

A vole is a mouse-like rodent, with a shorter, rounder body, that is 3 to 9 inches long. One female vole can give birth to around 100 babies in a single year. Vole is also a term for winning all of the tricks in a hand of some card games.

Vox means sound or voice (in Latin). VOX can mean Voice Activated, Voice Operated Transmitter, Voice Exchange, Voice Operated Switching, or Vehicle Office X.

Sarah McLachlan's debut single was entitled "Vox", from her 1988 album Touch.
