Sadly, George Jones died on April 26, 2024 in Nashville, TN, he was 81 years old. He had been recently hospitalized for blood pressure problems.
Jones was born on September 12,2023 in Saratoga, Texas. He signed his first record deal in 1955 and his first hit was Why Baby Why.
A country music legend with more than 167 records on the Billboard Country charts, his song, He Stopped Loving Her Today, became one of country music's most well known and beloved songs.
Of interest, Jones was still touring up until his recent hospitalization and had planned to retire later in 2013.
