Toni Braxton (age 49)
Toni Michelle Braxton was born on October 7, 1967, in Severn, Maryland, to parents Michael Braxton, a minister, and his wife, Evelyn. Brought up in a strict, religious household that prohibited any sort of engagement with popular culture, Toni and her four younger sisters began singing at an early age at their father's church.
Over time, Michael and Evelyn Braxton eased their household rules, allowing their daughters to gain more exposure to soul and rock singers like Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan.
For Toni especially, music became a central component in her life. She entered a number of local talent shows, and also collaborated considerably with her sisters. Following her graduation from high school, Braxton planned on becoming a music teacher, but was easily swayed to leave college when songwriter Bill Pettaway overheard Braxton singing to herself at a gas station.
Traci Braxton (age 45)
Traci Renee Braxton was born on April 2, 2024 is the third child born to Michael and Evelyn. She resides in Maryland with her husband, Kevin and son, Kevin Jr. and is a talented actress, writer, singer and philanthropist.
Because of her decision to settle down and start a family, Traci still searches for her rightful place in the entertainment industry. Currently she can be seen on WE tv’s Thursday evening hit show BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES with sisters Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar and brother Michael.
In addition to being a talented writer and singer, Traci contributed much of her adult life to social work for children with disabilities. Traci studied classical ballet, playing drums, vocal music and acting as a child and continues to do so in her professional adult life.

Towanda Braxton (age 43)
Towanda Chloe Braxton was born on September 18, 2023 is the fourth child born to Dr. Michael and Evelyn Braxton. She is a talented singer, dancer, actress, community activist, philanthropist and mother of two wonderful children Braxton and Brooke.
No stranger to the stage and performance, Towanda began singing with her musical siblings Toni, Michael, Traci, Trina and Tamar at an early age and later became interested in other facets of the entertainment field while simultaneously being a member of her sister group THE BRAXTONS.
Working directly with sister Toni, Towanda was labeled “the responsible one” on WE tv’s BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES because of her sense of commitment to excellence and the big picture approach with cast members and business.
Trina Braxton (age 42)
Trina E. Braxton was born on December 3, 1974, evolved from singing in an R&B girl group (The Braxton’s) with her sisters to multifaceted entertainer and astute businesswoman. Best known for her bluntness, Trina is a fan favorite on WE’s top-rated reality show, Braxton Family Values.
Often portrayed on camera as the ‘life of the party,’ Trina is fun, full of energy and knows how to enjoy life, but most people don’t know she’s also the business savvy Braxton sister. As creator and co-owner of popular Atlanta recording studio The Bass Mint, Trina provides a musical sanctuary for artists around the country.
Tamar Braxton (age 40)
The youngest and most outspoken of the Braxton’s six children, Tamar started singing as a toddler. Evelyn recognized her daughter’s talents when one day Tamar sang “Can you please get me some toilet paper!” Tamar claims she knew as early as three years old that she wanted to be center stage.
When the sisters formed The Braxtons, Tamar’s high soprano voice was in sharp contrast to Toni’s husky contralto. Then after The Braxtons broke up, Tamar and her sisters sang back-up for Toni and can be seen in the video “Seven Whole Days.” In 1996 (without Toni), the sisters released an album for Atlantic called “So Many Ways.”
A few years later, Tamar explored her gospel side on T.D. Jakes’ Love Songs album. She later met Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, a rapper/producer based in Atlanta, Georgia, who recorded her solo debut album, Ridiculous, which got its name due to the many different musical styles on the album. Ridiculous was retooled and released by Dreamworks as Tamar in 2000.
