Numerous times Carmelo Anthony missed out on playing with the Knicks.
Anthony was absent in the entire second half of the season last year (2014) with surgery on his left knee.
The injury was so severe that he needed to undergo a surgery (back February 2015) which required a knee patella tendon debridement and repair.
That was the fourth of the last five years Anthony’s season has ended with an injury. The previous two years, he finished the season with tears in each shoulder.
Anthony had elbow surgery and arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, after the 2010-11.
During the 2012-13 season, he had his knee drained.
