At 26, Usher became a minority part-owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers in a deal sealed at $375 million. The Cavaliers did not disclose how much of the team Usher owns, but minority ownership in a franchise typically is 15 percent or less.
While Dan Gilbert is Cavaliers' majority owner, Usher will devote time to entertainment aspects. He promised at a news conference that his role with the Cavaliers would be to improve amenities at the arena.
