"Wanna Get Away" fares replaced Southwest's 1986 debuted "Fun Fares". "Fun Fares" were required to be purchased 21 days in an advance and were not refundable. "Wanna Get Away" fares are discounted web-only fares available for a limited time only. They can earn Southwest Rapid Rewards at the rate of 1 point per one-way ticket.
"Wanna Get Away" fares restrictions:
- Fares may only be purchased on www.southwest.com.
Lower fares may be available with other Southwest promotions.
All rules and restrictions apply when combining fares.
Fares must be purchased 14 days in advance.
Fares may vary due to limited seating and may not be available on all dates and
flights.
Standby travel requires am Anytime fare upgrade.
Fares are nonrefundable, but are transferable at 100% value for up to 12 months.
If not transferred within 12 months the entire amount of the fare will be forfeited.
As of April 2012, Southwest Airlines flies to and from 97 destinations in 42 states. The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport became the newest destination on February 12, 2012.
