What is southwest airlines wanna get away fare?

Southwest Airlines says the "Wanna Get Away" fare is typically its lowest fare. Travelers check in at the airport ticket counter and board with the "C" group. You need to purchase tickets well in advance of your travel date, and there are several restrictions that apply:

  • Fares are nonrefundable, but may be applied toward future travel on Southwest Airlines.
Fares not applied toward the purchase of future travel within 12 months will be forfeited.
Standby travel requires an upgrade to the Anytime fare.
Fares may vary as seats are limited and may not be available on all dates and flights.
Limited seating, advance purchase, and other conditions may apply.
Fares are subject to change until tickets are purchased and are available for a limited time only.
    Lower fares may be available.

Failure to cancel or change a "Wanna Get Away" fare segment at least 10 minutes prior to travel or not boarding the flight, will be considered a no show. All remaining funds on the reservation will be forfeited.
