What happened to Chris Meyers of EPSN?
The son of NASCAR on Fox studio host Chris Myers was killed in a car accident on February 16th, 2012, thus Myers was not part of Fox's Daytona 500 coverage and was given as much time off as he needs. Christopher Myers, 19, died in a fiery crash in Southern California near Malibu. He is survived by his parents and a brother, Alex.
Chris Myers began his career in radio in Tampa, Florida, before joining ESPN, where he spent 11 years and anchored Sports Center, Baseball Tonight, and interview show Up Close. He moved to Fox Television in 1998 and has covered all major events in the US, including the Super Bowl, the World Series, the Final Four, the BCS Championship, and the Kentucky Derby.
