TTL stands for Total Time in Line - a special system used in McDonald’s for measuring time that customers wait in the line. This system calculates time from the customer came to order until he receives his food.

McDonald’s used many types of information systems to maintain high quality services and sustain high profits.

Apart from TTL, the food giant also used the technology of Kitchen-Video-System (KVS) for speedy orders. This technology help worker who takes the order to “enter or delete the orders on a touch screen. Then, this order will be showin on the screen in the kitchen. The kitchen staff can then immediately start preparing the order.

McDonald’s also introduced a technology called Customer Order Display (COD). This system gives the customer a chance for correcting his/her order and save time. The food will be displayed on the outside screen. The customer can see if his/her orders are correct.
