What does the phrase "no tea no shade" mean

The phrase “no tea, no shade” is used when a person does not want to offend, but wants to tell it like it is. Essentially, it replaces the phrase "I don't really mean to offend you in any way, but ...." or "I don't mean any disrespect, but..."

"No tea, no shade" can be added at the beginning or the end of a sentence that can be seen as potentially negative to somebody, but is not supposed to be. For instance, "No tea no shade man, I'm not drinking that after the dog took a lick out of it."

It is said that the phrase is commonly used by the YouTube account Timaya, run by Qaadir Howard.
