Tulsa Drillers are a minor league baseball team. And most minor league ballplayers earn less than half as much money as fast-food workers, reports USA Today Sports.

Most earn between $3,000 and $7,500 for a five-month season. As a point of comparison, fast food workers typically earn between $15,000 and $18,000 a year, or about two or three times what minor league players make.

About 15 years ago, a study showed that minor leaguers' average salaries are $5,424 in Triple-A (like the RedHawks), $1,763 in Double-A (like the Tulsa Drillers), $1,074 in Class A and $868 in rookie leagues. - NewsOK.com.
