How many wives did frank Sinatra have?

He had four wives. Nancy Barbato, Ava Gardner, Mia Farrow and Barbara Marx.

Nancy Barbato was his first wife. She was his childhood sweetheart and they got married in 1939. With his success as an artist, no fruit was forbidden and out of reach. They got divorced in 1951 after 12 years.

Just a few weeks after his divorce to Nancy, He married his second wife Ava Gardner. Frank and Ava were notorious. Their fights were phenomenal, taking place on both coasts and several continents. After Ava saw a newspaper photo of Frank with two showgirls, she filed for divorce. They got seperated in 1957.

Mia Farrow was the third woman Frank married. Frank was already 51 at that time and Mia was 21. She said the age difference didn't matter. Frank said it didn't matter to him. But to his children, it mattered. Mia was five years younger than his oldest daughter, Nancy.

Years later, Sinatra biographer Kitty Kelley reported, the kids admitted that the Mia years were difficult. They got in 1966 in Las Vegas. The ceremony lasted four minutes, with no members of Frank's family present. The marriage ended in 1968.

In 1976 Frank got married for the fourth and final time to Barbara Marx. She was the widow of the comedian Zeppo Marx. The two remained together until Frank's death in 1998.
