how long is the memory of your average house mouse?

The average mouse lifespan is only about 12 months outdoors. But for indoors, this number can climb to 2 to 3 years.

Mice are very curious and constantly explores and learns about its environment and adjusts quickly to changes in it. They can move around very quickly in their well-known environment by what is called kinesthesis, meaning muscle memory.

Although all normal mouse brains look similar to the náked eye and even under the microscope, it is possible that some of the observed variation in behavior is directly associated with characteristics of the nervous system.

A truly quantitative neurology suitable for studying the genetics of neural characteristics has not yet been developed. Brains of inbred mice differ greatly in size, but the psychological significance of these variations is unknown.
