Are chase banks open thanksgiving?

No. Chase Bank is closed on Thanksgiving Day 2012, as are most other big banks. Some large banks do open on other Federal holidays like Columbus Day and President's Day, but the majority are closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Most (if not all) will be open on the Friday after Thanksgiving, i.e., "Black Friday".

Other banks besides Chase that are closed on Thanksgiving Day in 2012: Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citibank, U.S. Bank, Capital One, TD Bank, HSBC, PNC Bank, SunTrust Bank, BB&T, Regions Bank, BBVA Compass, Fifth Third Bank, Old National, Northern Trust, Webster Bank, and the Federal Reserve.

TD Bank is often open on Federal holidays, but Thanksgiving Day is one of the four days annually that the bank is closed. The other days TD Bank is closed every year are Christmas, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday.

Some branches of PNC Bank that are located in supermarkets may be open on Thanksgiving Day for limited hours.

Chase Bank is the newest bank brand to be seen on the downtown skyline in Orlando at Church Street and Orange Avenue in the newly renamed Chase Plaza, where its new downtown branch opened in early November 2012. Chase is now the fourth largest bank by deposit market in central Florida.
