Paul William Walker IV was born on September 12, 1973, in Glendale California. Walker grew up active in sports like soccer and surfing. His siblings are Cody, Caleb, and Ashlie. Walker's mother was a model, which lead him to modeling and acting as a young child. He made a diaper commercial at the age of two and some of his early TV work includes episodes of "Charles in Charge", "Highway to Heaven", "Whos the Boss?", and "Diffrent Strokes".

In 1987, he made his big-screen debut in the horror spoof Monster in Your Closet and was featured on the TV series "Throb" (1986-87). After finishing high school, Walker attended several community colleges and at first majored in Marine Biology. However, his early taste of acting came back and Walker decided to pursue an acting career. Walker's career hit overdrive when he played a leading role alongside up-and-comer Vin Diesel in The Fast and the Furious in 2001. The film brought Walker to new heights of fame on the way to box-office receipts of over $200 million.

According to Universal, Fast and Furious 6's worldwide total is now $314.3M, making the movie the studio's biggest opening weekend for a film ever in the U.S. ($117.1), internationally ($197.3M) and globally.
