What was formed by a merger between two japanese imaging firms with slogan "The Essentials of Imaging >-ChÉérS->T?Hh->Yh??!

Konica Minolta uses the slogan “The essentials of imaging.” In 2003 Konica Minolta Holdings, Inc., was established by merging the management of Konica Co., and Minolta Co., Ltd.

Konica started in 1873 selling photographic and lithographic materials. In 1928 the company that would become Minolta originated. They marketed their first consumer camera the following year.

The Konica-Minolta history is intertwined with successes. These include the jump into color photography in 1940 and the entrance into the American market in 1956. The 1960s brought copy machines and the 1980 introduced autofocus. Most of their office based products are marketed under the name “bizhub.”
