In an article with the Las Vegas Sun, both Rick and Corey agreed that $140,000 for gold bars was the largest amount of money they've loaned out against an item. However, many of the items shown on the show are not actual pawn loans, they are actually sold to the shop.

According to History.com, in addition to the four one-kilo gold bars, the next most valuable item at the shop was a 2001 Super Bowl ring valued at $60,000.

On November 5, 2012, History Channel announced the launch of PawnStars.com, where fans can pawn items, watch episodes of Pawn Stars and play the Pawn Stars Facebook game. The website is partnering with Pawngo, an online pawn company. Some merchandise will also be sold on the website.
