What does the name jase mean

The boy's name Jase is a variation of the name Jason, it comes from Greek and Hebrew origins and it means "Healer; the Lord of Salvation."

The name Jase was not very popular at all until around 2003 when it jumped from around 1,000th place to about 600th place in popularity. It seems to have moved up and down over the past few years, hugging the 600 line.

There may be a larger recognition of the name in coming years as the popularity of the Reality TV series Duck Dynasty has pushed the name onto the tips of many tongues in the U.S. Jase Robertson is one of the stars of the new series, which just had its 1st season finale, drawing in 2,600,000 viewers!
