Yes, Alvin Robertson was a great player. In 1985, he became the second player to record a quadruple-double. Only four players have recorded this accomplishment. He is best known for his defense.

He started his NBA career with the San Antonio Spurs. After five seasons with them, he went on to play for the Milwaukee Bucks, Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors. In 1984, he played for the U.S. Olympic gold medal team.

Robertson has a long history of legal problems. He faced several domestic violence charges between 1997 and 2007. In 2010, he was arrested for child sex trafficking and sex assault. He is still awaiting trial.

In November 2012, the University of Washington announced it had offered a scholarship to Elgin Cook, Alvin Robertson's son. Cook is currently a student at Northwest Florida State College.
