Jennifer Lopez Ben affleck nickname

"Bennifer" was the nickname given to the couple of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck when they dated for about 18 months. They met around July of 2002, on the set of the movie "Gigli," which they both starred in. They were said to have broken up on January 20, 2004, after having been engaged for about 4 months and having canceled a wedding ceremony on September 14, 2003.

The portmanteau "Bennifer" was coined by Affleck's friend, director Kevin Smith. Lopez went on to marry Marc Anthony in 2004, and Affleck went on to marry Jennifer Garner in 2005. "Bennifer" and "Bennifer II" are also used to refer to Affleck and Jennifer Garner's relationship, since her name is also Jennifer.

According to CBS News, Warner Bros. announced recently that the 41-year-old actor-director will star as a new incarnation of the Dark Knight in a film bringing Batman and Superman together. The studio said Affleck will star opposite 30-year-old Henry Cavill, who will reprise his role as Superman from "Man of Steel." The movie will also feature "Man of Steel" stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent. Find out more here.
