According to NBA.com, ball boys or towel boys are just paid the minimum wage. The Chicago Bulls towel boy earned around $ 2142.25 during the 2012-2013 NBA season (minimum wage in Illinois is $8.25 and Bulls played 41 home games during the 2012-2013 season).

Towel boys typically work for 6hrs and 20mins (2hrs and 20mins average length of NBA game; 3hrs prior until 1hr after) per game that season and earned approximately $52.25 per game.

Ball boys do it all, the dirty work, that is. They pick up beverage cups and warm-ups suits, wash towels, and run a variety of errands.
