The standard measure for firewood is the “cord.” A cord may be either a full cord or a facecord, also known as rick.
A full cord is a stack of wood 4 feet tall, 8 feet wide and 4 feet deep (128 cubic feet). A face cord is a stack of wood 4 feet high, 8 feet long and approximately 12 to 18 inches deep. The weight of a full cord and a face cord varies by species.
