Tech N9ne was born Aaron Dontez Yates on November 8, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri. He started rapping as a youngster and earned his nickname 1988 for his rapidfire style (he now sees the name as a combination of "technique" and "nine, the number of completion").
He has collaborated with B.o.B, T-Pain, Cee Lo Green and fellow Cash Kings Wiz Khalifa and Kendrick Lamar.
