What we found is that Earth, Wind, & Fire, was a ten-man band when they released their debut album, "Earth, Wind, & Fire" in February 1971.
Members include:
Maurice White - Vocals, Kalimba, Drums, Percussion
Verdine White - Bass
Michael Beal - Guitar, Harmonica
Leslie Drayton - Trumpet
Wade Flemons - Electric Piano, Vocals
Yackov Ben Israel (Phillard Williams) - Conga, Percussion
Sherry Scott - Vocals
Alexander Thomas - Trombone
Chester Washington - Tenor Saxophone
Don Whitehead - Acoustic & Electric Pianos, Vocals
Among these, two were reported dead:
• Maurice White (born December 19, 2023) died in his sleep from the effects of Parkinson's disease on February 4, 2016. He was 74 years old when he died.
• Wade Flemons died of cancer in 1994. He was 53 years old when he died.
