How long has the Cadbury bunny commercial been running?

Hershey aired the CADBURY "Clucking Bunny" campaign in 1982, and it remains one of the most beloved and recognized confectionery advertising campaigns. The commercial has been on air for 33 years now.

Just in time for Easter season, did you know that in 1985, Cadbury launched an ad campaign for the Cadbury Creme Egg known as "How do you eat yours?"

The official Cadbury website suggest two methods: "egg and soldiers" and "bite and lick." If you prefer egg and soldiers, you eat the chocolate egg like a soft-boiled egg, place it in an egg cup and eat the fondant filling with a spoon or scoop it out with Cadbury Fingers.

The "Bite and lick" method is very self-explanatory, bite the top and lick out the cream.

It was reported earlier this year that the makers of Cadbury Creme Eggs are walking on eggshells with fans of the beloved Easter treat after a recent tweak in the recipe.

The chocolate eggs, filled with a cloying "yolk" of yellow and white fondant, were originally made in the United Kingdom with Cadbury's signature Dairy Milk chocolate.

Now, under the new recipe, they're made with "a standard, traditional Cadbury milk chocolate," said a spokeswoman for Mondelez International, a spinoff of Kraft Foods, in a statement. Kraft acquired British candy maker Cadbury in 2010 for roughly $19 billion. The change applies only to Cadbury eggs sold in the United Kingdom, and will appear on shelves until April.
