Southwest Airlines' EarlyBird Check-In is an option that can be purchased for $10 one-way. With it you will receive an early assigned boarding position which allows you to board the plane before other passengers. This gives you more opportunity to select a preferred seat as well as overhead bin space.
EarlyBird Check-In reserves the next boarding position available at the time of purchase automatically. EarlyBird customers usually receive "A" boarding passes, but it is not guaranteed. The $10 fee is nonrefundable.
