Jack Nicklaus won the Masters Tournament back-to-back in 1965 and 1966, Nick Faldo did the same in 1989 and 1990, and Tiger Woods followed suit in 2001 and 2002.
To date Jack Nicklaus has the most Masters wins his under belt with six (1963, 1965, 1966, 1972, 1975, 1986). Arnold Palmer (1958, 1960, 1962, 1964) and Tiger Woods (1997, 2001, 2002, 2005) are tied with four wins each.
The Masters is played each April at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. The tournament consists of four rounds, each with 18 holes. Each year the winner is presented with a green sport coat, the official attire of Augusta National members while on the club grounds, a cash prize, a gold medal, and a silver trophy with his name engraved on it.
Of interest, Adam Scott just became the first Australian to win the Masters. He scored the major championship with a birdie from 12 feet on the second playoff hole beating Argentina's Angel Cabrera. Scott claimed $1.44 million of the $8 million purse, with Cabrera taking home $864,000, and Jason Day receiving a check for $544,000.
