Born March 28, 1955, in McAlester, Oklahoma, Reba McEntire got her break singing the national anthem at the 1974 rodeo finals. McEntire has recorded with Mercury and MCA records, topped the country charts numerous times, and been named best female vocalist by the Country Music Association multiple times. In latest buzz, Reba McEntire is ready to suit up in her sheriff’s uniform for her new ABC drama series, Red Blooded.
In an interview with CMT’s Cody Alan, McEntire reveals that the pilot has already been filmed. The recognizable redhead was recently photographed filming scenes for the show, which has been described as a “Southern gothic soap opera,” in Georgia.
“I’m a dark character. I’ve got a lot of flaws and demons, and I’m having a lot of problems in my personal life,” she reveals of her character. “My town is being disrupted and I’m having to deal with it all. I’m under a lot of stress.” Read more at Tasteofcountry.com.
