After what was described as an "altercation" between Cheyenne Coyle and sisters Sami and Kasey Fagan that was dividing the team, Gators coach Tim Walton made the decision to suspend the girls from the team indefinitely.
He made the decision because it was the best one for the team even though it meant losing the team's leading hitter and two of its top RBI producers.
Players have said that it was a big distraction losing them during the playoffs. They believe that it played a part in their loss to South Florida to end the season.
