William "Red" Snyder was convicted of murdering, dismembering, and storing the pieces of his parents under his bed ("to keep them close"). In 1986, during a prison riot in West Virginia, Snyder was arrested for the murder of inmate Kent Sile. The 1989 trial for the murder was declared a mistrial after one witness, yet another inmate, was "stomped to death" in county jail. Years later, Synder himself would be murdered, stabbed with an ice pick 37 times.
