Who is the only player in major league baseball history to win the gold glove award at two different positions?

What we found is that Darin Erstad is the only player to win Gold Gloves as an infielder and outfielder (in 2000 and 2002) and as a first baseman (in 2004).

Another player who won Gold Gloves at multiple positions is Plácido Polanco. He won at second base (2007, 2009 AL) and third base (2011 NL).

A Gold Glove is an award handed out to players who had a superior fielding season. A total of 18 Gold Gloves are handed out each year with Gloves going to one player at each position for both the National League and American League. The winners of the award are determined by the votes of coaches and managers in the league.

Officially known as "Rawlings Gold Glove Award."
