Who is Luke Bryan, the guy who sang the national anthem at the Super Bowl?

Luke Bryan was born in July 1976 in Leesburg, Georgia. He is a country music singer-songwriter known for such hits as "Drink a Beer" and "That's My Kind of Night."

Of interest, Bryan is the third male country singer to score the national anthem spot in the Super Bowl’s 51-year history, along with Garth Brooks (1993) and Charley Pride (1974); the sixth country act ever, joining Carrie Underwood (2010), the Dixie Chicks (2003) and Faith Hill (2000) on the list. Bryan sang the national anthem at Super Bowl 51, and while he did manage to stay under 2:30, he took his time with it and dragged out each word. It clocked in at around two minutes and four seconds — pretty slow (though certainly not the slowest). Watch his performance at USA Today.
