Patricia Field is a native New Yorker and one of fashion's greatest visionaries, she is famous for changing the way women dress through HBO's television series "Sex and the City", she is also an Academy Awards nominated, Emmy Award winning costume designer for film and television.
Her boutique in New York City has been a fashion landmark for nearly 50 years. However, it was reported just recently that she is closing her beloved Bowery bazaar after 50 funky and fabulous years.
"I know that my clients are going to be sad, because they come in and tell me that there’s no store like this in the world, but I’ve gotta watch out for my health and myself.”
“I’ve enjoyed the game ... but I’m getting tired, because the store has grown to such a size,” she said. “I want to open my social life back up, and go to the gym for a swim every day. I can’t do normal things anymore, and I’m feeling it.” Catch more at the Daily News.
