Where is Tania Head??

According to articles published in the media in March and April 2012 in the wake of the release of the same-titled book and documentary The Woman Who Wasn’t There: The True Story of an Incredible Deception, an account which exposes Head as a fake 9/11 survivor, the last published reports of sightings of Tania Head were in New York City in September 2011.

The book's co-author, Angelo J. Guglielmo Jr. - with whom Head had initially cooperated with on the documentary - spotted Head and her mother on New York's East Side on September 14th, 2011. Guglielmo said that Head told him to stay away from her, reportedly saying “Don’t come near me, Angelo.” Robin Gaby Fisher is the other author of the book.

The sighting disproved a February 2008 email sent to members of The World Trade Center Survivors Network claiming Head had committed suicide. The email was sent from an Internet account in Spain.

Tania Head (real name: Alicia Esteve Head) had gained fame claiming to be a survivor of the September 11th, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and had eventually become president of The World Trade Center Survivors' Network, and did volunteer work leading tours at the Tribute W.T.C. Visitor Center. Her fabrication of her survivor's story was made public by The New York Times in 2007, after the newspaper had attempted to verify key details of Head's story and further probing revealed the deception. A Spanish national, as it turned out Head wasn't even in the United States on September 11th, 2001 - she was in Spain.

The documentary about Head's deception was scheduled for broadcast on the National Geographic Channel in Head's native Spain in September 2012.
