In 2015, Gravano hired a lawyer to seek early prison release but a US judge rebuked his bid for sentence reduction.
In 1991, he became a government witness against Mafia boss John Gotti which got him a free pass on 19 killings.
Gravano is in the home stretch of serving his 20-year term he received in 2002 for pushing an illegal drug– earning about $500,000 a week – in Arizona. His daughter Karen and wife got probation and his son got 9 years.
