Alabama is now divided into two zones and dates change from county-to-county. Basically, everyone north of Montgomery or near the Chattahoochee River is in Zone A.

Alabama deer hunting season covers 108 days yearly and hunters may hunt both a buck and a doe everyday in most areas. Hunters may choose to harvest whitetails with a crossbow, rifle, shotgun, a bow, muzzleloader, and even a spear.
