Wendy's classic catchphrase is ‘Where’s the Beef?’, - a simple question that sparked a nationwide meat-craving frenzy.
The original commercial featured Clara Peller, the granny who croaked the immortal query, "Where's the beef?"
Hitting the airwaves on January 10, 1984, the catchphrase was an instant success, spawning a series of Peller-starring sequels along with a range of merchandise, from T-shirts to bumper stickers to Frisbees to a board game.
Peller even worked with Nashville disc jockey Coyote McCloud to record a "Where's the Beef?" novelty single.
In 2011, Wendy's answered that question with a revamped catchphrase “Here's the beef!”
In the fall of 2009, the company kicked off the “You Know When It's Real” campaign, promoting its bacon products like the “Baconator” burger.
