According to Guinness World Records, the longest marathon playing rugby union is 28 hr 23 min and was achieved by School of Hard Knocks and Scotty's Little Soldiers (both UK) in Sunbury-on-Thames, UK, from 15 to 16 August 2015.
This attempt took place to raise money for local charities. The final score was Scotty's Little Soldiers 1480 - 1849 School of Hard Knocks.
