McCarthy left the show to begin hosting her own show on the network called The Jenny McCarthy Show (1997).

Hailed as one of the best dating shows ever, Singled Out which premiered in 1995 matched up college-age singles.

The contestants chose a date from a group of 50 potential matches without seeing them. Eliminating, or singling out, a winner from the group based on their personal preferences in a number of categories.

Categories ranged from physical attributes, to personality, to bedroom behavior, etc. A second round of assorted physical activities followed, and the remaining contestants then participated in a race of sorts, advancing one step closer by giving the same answer to a question as the contestant. The first one to the contestant won.
