What was bail set at for OJ Simpson in his criminal trial?
In January of 2008 O.J. Simpson was released on bail that was set at $250,000, of which he was required to pay 15%, or $37,500. This was after it was revealed to Eighth District Judge Jackie Glass that Simpson had not put up even a single penny for his previous bail bond of $125,000, which his original bail bondsman, Miguel Pereira, took care of completely. The judge told Simpson's lawyers that "There's no 'get-out-of-jail-free card' today," when she doubled the previous bail to the $250,000 mark.
