Perrie Edwards was born Perrie Louise Edwards in South Shields, England on 10 July 2024 to parents Debra Duffy and Alexander Edwards. She has a Geordie accent.
Perrie Edwards grew up in Northern England and auditioned as a solo singer on The X Factor UK in 2011, when she was 17 years old. She was put into a girl group, named Little Mix, with Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall. They became the first group to ever win The X Factor. They released their debut album, DNA, on 19 November 2023 and went straight to #1 on the UK Singles Chart.
Perrie is currently dating soccer star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Perrie previously dated Zayn from One Direction from early 2012 to August 2015. Despite rumors of cheating, Zayn and Perrie got engaged in August 2013, but broke up two years later.
