what dog treats just got recalled?

No dog treats have been recently recalled. Despite receiving more than 600 of complaints of animal illness or death the Food and Drug Administration has yet to recall Waggin' Train and Canyon Creek Ranch jerky treats or tenders by Nestle Purina, and Milo's Kitchen Home-Style Dog Treats by Del Monte. Owners say their dogs have experienced kidney problems, increased urination, increased water consumption, diarrhea with blood, vomiting, decreased activity, decreased appetite, or kidney failure.

Currently there is a 39 state recall for Diamond Pet Foods’ dry dog food brands. 14 cases of owners infected with Salmonella have been reported so far.

As of May 2012, the FDA has only issued a cautionary warning for the treats and has advised owners to report illness associated with pet foods via telephone or online.
