What does palabra mean on my samsung intensity phone?
The Samsung Intensity and Intensity II offer multiple text entry modes. Each mode has its own purposes and advantages depending on the texting task at hand.
Palabra mode is for texting in Spanish. It predicts what word is being typed and completes that word. “Palabra” is the Spanish word for “word”.
Numbers mode is for entering numbers.
Abc mode is the default mode for text entry on the Samsung Intensity. It is the old school flip-phone method of associating each number key with multiple letters.
T9 Word mode only requires one key-touch per letter. It is a predictive mode that recognizes the key sequence of the word being typed and enters it.
Both devices also have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. This has the same letter and number layout as a standard computer keyboard.
In 1993 Nokia introduced the first cell phone that enabled people to communicate via text message from one cell phone to another. Texting between different service providers was introduced in 1999. In December 2007 Americans sent more text messages than they made phone calls for the first time.
