What does Affective comprehension mean

Affective comprehension is your reaction to what you read at the literal and critical levels of understanding. It is your intellectual and emotional response to what you read.

Reading Comprehension is the ability to easily and efficiently read text for meaning. It is the last step of the reading process taught to children, after they've learned phonics, fluency, and vocabulary.

Five levels of reading comprehension can be taught to children include:

• Lexical Comprehension

• Literal Comprehension

• Interpretive Comprehension

• Applied Comprehension

• Affective Comprehension

Here are some of the many comprehension strategies that can be directly taught to help students improve their range of comprehension skills shared by Ritutorial.org.
