Is Rudy Rush still on the Doug Banks and Dee Dee radio show?

No. Rudy Rush is no longer on the air with The Doug Banks Radio Show after eight years of service. Comedian George Willborn replaced him as the new afternoon co-host on April 25, 2013.

Rush had specials air on Comedy Central and Showtime. He also appeared on the popular “Chappelle’s Show.” Rush continues to tour and is also a regular contributor to “The Moth,” a New York City-based organization dedicated to the art of storytelling.

Goerge Willborn, on the other hand, worked with radio host Michael Baisden on the The Michael Baisden Show for over 10 years. The show ended in March 2013 after Baisden had a disagreement his radio syndicator, Cumulus Media Networks.

George has recently returned to his radio roots in DC as co-host of Afternoons With Tony, Mo and George on WHUR 96.3 FM weekdays from 3pm – 7pm. He also continues to host his solo radio program, Willborn’s World on WHUR’s SiriusXM Channel 141, H.U.R. Voices.

The radio personality is survived by his wife and four children. On the eve of the 2014 midterm elections, first lady Michelle Obama said she grew up listening to Banks in Chicago, and offered perhaps the most memorable tribute to him. Read more at WashingtonPost.com.
