Is it safe to drink a monster while taking antibiotics?

Not Medical Advice: Monster Energy drinks have large amounts of caffeine. Some chemicals -- caffeine included -- can interact with antibiotics. Generally speaking, however, this isn't dangerous when it comes to caffeine, but it could make you uncomfortable.

Caffeine can result in restlessness, nervousness, insomnia, and tremors. High amounts can also trigger seizures and abnormal heart rhythm.

A Consumer Reports (CR) investigation tested 27 popular energy drinks. Eleven didn't list the amount of caffeine on the label. Among the 16 products that did, five had more than 20% more caffeine than the label claimed. One had about 70% less. See the results of the CR tests here.
