There are no reports stating that they're exactly related. What we found is that Booker T. Washington and Denzel Washington's great-grandparents William and Margaret were born into slavery

Denzel’s paternal grandfather William Washington and paternal grandmother Virginia Page were born into slavery in Virginia.

Booker T. Washington was also born into slavery in Virginia in the mid-to-late 1850s. He was one of the foremost African-American leaders of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, founding the Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute, now known as Tuskegee University.

When he was 14, his parents' marriage broke down and he and his older sister were sent away to boarding school. He first studied journalism at Fordham University but then discovered an interest in acting.

He made his feature film debut in the comedy A Carbon Copy (1981) and was cast on the hit TV medical drama St. Elsewhere (1982-8). He went on to appear in several hit movies, including Philadelphia, Man on Fire, The Book of Eli, American Gangster and Flight, and won Oscars for his roles in Glory and Training Day.
