Is comedian Pete Holmes related to the late actor John Ritter?

Both are actors and comedian. Pete Holmes bears a striking resemblance to John Ritter, however, Holmes was never heard talking about any relationship to the actor.

Holmes alternately describes himself as the giant John Ritter saying "I'm a huge John Ritter, I'm like John Ritter after he drank mutation tea." He's also quoted that he's a mix of his parents and the actor.

John Ritter, born on September 17, 2023 in Burbank, California was the son of country singer and actor Tex Ritter and actress Dorothy Fay Southworth. Ritter and his older brother grew up surrounded by show business. He is best remembered for his portrayal as Lothario Jack Tripper on Three’s Company. John died ten years ago of a heart ailment.

Pete Holmes was born on March 30, 2024 and raised in Massachusetts. Known for his stand-up comedy, Pete voiced the famous e-trade baby in the commercials for e-trade Financial Services.
