Is Castleberry's Georgia hash still available for sale in grocery stores and where?

No, you can no longer buy Georgia Hash as Castleberry's stopped its production years ago. They still make their Corned Beef Hash though. Check with your local Walmart stores.

In 2007, Castleberry' voluntarily instituted a national recall on their products (including Georgia Hash) due to the risk of botulinum toxin (a toxin which can cause botulism, a potentially life-threatening illness).

The company also temporarily ceased production in its Augusta, Ga. plant, where it is suspected that there was a processing problem on one of the facility's canning lines.

For more info, contact Castleberry’s at (800) 888-4646 or see their Facebook page.

Follow these tips to keep your canned vegetables safe and keep them from spoiling, shared by CDC.gov.
